It installs fine on my Alienware x17 laptop using Windows 7 x64 but when it comes to launching the game I just get a black command prompt type screen appear for a split second then it closes. WebMay 27, 2012 · When I start up the game, MechCommander 2, it opens a black window and immediately closes before I can do anything. I followed the steps for installing but nothing works. Tried compatibility mode AND deleted the files prior to doing so. I even tried starting it up on a different computer without doing any of the fixes here. Anyone able to help out?
